Adoption STAR highly recommends that in addition to the adoption education required, prospective applicants should take an infant care class, including infant CPR, prior to adopting a child.
Though baby care classes are offered elsewhere, none focus on the uniqueness of adoptive parenthood. Adoption STAR has prepared a baby care manual and a class especially for you – the adoptive parent. You do not need to be a client of Adoption STAR to attend. Attendance is open to those hoping to adopt as well as those who have already adopted.
