Discussion will also occur on how to handle situations where the birth mother 'friends' you/your child, and what to do if your child finds a birth parent/family member online. It is A comprehensive adoption conference featuring over 80 workshops by expert professionals and parents addressing a wide variety of topics, including race, culture & diversity in adoption, open adoption, post adoption services, parenting children with special needs, issues in adoption, adoption therapy and support. KAAN Conference - Albany, NY

The conference is organized by KAAN: the Korean-American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network (www.kaanet.org) and will be held in Albany for its 14th annual gathering. Since 1998 KAAN has nurtured a network of individuals and organizations related to Korean adoption, connecting the community through their annual conference. Members of other international or interethnic adoptive communities are welcome, as often they share some common experiences and can learn from each other. The 2012 conference theme is Journeys.
The conference will be held from July 27-29.
