This annual television special focuses on the need for adoptive families for youth in foster care.
Anyone touched by adoption has probably become familiar with the TV special “A Home for the Holidays.” Aired in December every year, it has become a sort of family holiday tradition for many. Our friends at the North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) sent out a recent e-mail reminder that the show was airing soon (TONIGHT!), so we wanted to share the information NACAC provided with all of you:
“A Home for the Holidays Airs Friday”
The 16th annual A Home for the Holidays will air on CBS this Friday evening, December 19 (check local listings for time). Designed to highlight the importance of adoption for children and youth in foster care who need families, the annual special mixes child and family stories with musical performances. This year, the show’s artists include Jennifer Hudson; Train; Earth, Wind & Fire; Katharine McPhee; Ashley Monroe; Dan & Shay; and Jillian Michaels.
Over the years, the program has helped many children and youth achieve their dream of a forever family through adoption.”
