A little about us
We met in November 2008 at a board game social. After a game of Trivial Pursuit, we talked and learned we have a lot in common. We went on our first date a month later and been together ever since. In June 2016, we got married in the presence of family and friends.
Steven has wanted to be a parent for as long as he can remember. Jamie is looking forward to watching a child play and grow. We are ready to realize our dream of welcoming your child into our lives and building a family.
The foundation of our relationship is built on mutual respect and trust. We strive to always hold each other in the highest regard, nurture growth in ourselves and each other, face life’s challenges with patience and humor, and work to fill our home with an abundance of joy. We aren’t perfect and often fall short, but we are firmly resolved to work together to create an amazing life.
I’m spontaneous; always up for a new adventure or activity. I’m patient, thoughtful, empathetic, caring, and enjoy helping others. I had the benefit of growing up in an urban area of North Carolina and on a horse farm in rural Virginia. The contrast in locations let me experience the best of both worlds. As a child, I trained in ballet dancing and horseback riding, played soccer, and ran track. I always enjoyed running around without shoes on; swimming was one of my favorite things to do. Today, I volunteer with several organizations, including mentoring and tutoring children of various ages.

I’m a hard-working, supportive, and dependable guy. I am motivated to succeed both professionally and academically, and some day hope to write a book. I grew up in a conservative area of upstate New York. I spent most of my childhood riding bikes with my friends, swimming in our pool, playing video games late at night, and eating Sunday dinners with my extended family. Today, I still enjoy riding my bike, eating out, and laughing with friends and family over a home-cooked meal. I also enjoy learning and studying in my free time, playing with the latest in technology, listening to podcasts, and watching ghost stories.
