Adoption STAR’s International Adoption Coordinator Meg Montgomery shares some important information for families considering international adoption.
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently announced that revised versions of Form I-600 (Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative) and Form I-600A (Application for Advance Processing of an Orphan Petition) are now available for immediate use. You can find these new forms (with accompanying instructions) via the USCIS website or by clicking on the links below:
- Form I-600: Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative, and Instructions effective 2/19/2015
- Form I-600A: Application for Advance Processing of an Orphan Petition, and Instructions effective 2/19/2015
FYI – The previous forms (dated 3/5/13) will be accepted until 3/23/15.
