Cyntra ‘Sue’ is an Assessor, conducting home studies and post placements for families looking to adopt at Adoption STAR. Sue earned her Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees from Ohio State University. Sue is an independently licensed social work supervisor (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. She has been a certified adoption assessor since 2014. She has been involved in child welfare and specifically foster care and adoption since 2001, currently working as a supervisor in foster care and adoption at an area agency.

Sue is a long time Master Gardener volunteer, having been certified in 1998. The majority of her volunteer work has been at a community children’s garden where she worked with disadvantaged youth to teach them the joy and science of gardening. Several theme gardens created and spearheaded by Sue and the youth she worked with are national award-winning gardens.

Currently Sue and her husband are parents to two dogs and one cat, all rescues, and are an active foster home for a local animal shelter. In her spare time, Sue loves to garden or go for a ride on her husband’s motorcycle.
