Our International Adoption Coordinator Megan Montgomery suggests a trip around the world all in one evening.
The description of this events comes from International Institute of Buffalo (IIB):
For almost 100 years the International Institute of Buffalo – the region’s only secular resettlement agency – has worked to change the lives of everyone who crosses our threshold. We set new Americans on the path to productivity benefitting them and our entire region. And, we’re a gateway to the world for Western New York.
On October 17, 2013 the International Institute of Buffalo brings the world to you as only the IIB can at our celebrated annual event.
Pick up your IIB issued passport at the door and travel the world – gather stamps as you sample food and drink offerings and see and hear music and dance from Burma, Ethiopia, India, Italy, Japan, Peru, Senegal, and Thailand – all in one room, on one night, in Buffalo.
NEW THIS YEAR – Souk and Den of Prophesy – the Ninth Ward bar downstairs transformed – sponsored by David Tiftickjian & Sons. Rug market (pillows and ottomans too), craft market from Westside Bazaar, and So Chic, a Bhutanese sewing collective, fortune telling, henna tattooing! Vendors, entertainers and special experience auction items will be revealed as we lead up to the event.
When: Thursday October 17, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT
Where: Asbury Hall 341 Delaware Avenue Buffalo, NY 14202
