National Adoption Month is our FAVORITE time of year here at Adoption STAR.
Each November, we set aside time to raise awareness about adoption and those in need of forever families, and to show support and appreciation for those touched by adoption.
This year, we’ve created a number of different ways for our virtual family to get involved in National Adoption Month online!
Participate in one or ALL of the options below.
Share Your Story!
We want to hear YOUR adoption story. Whether you’re an adoptive parent, an adoptee, a birth parent, or a friend of someone touched by adoption we want to hear your story!
Answer one of the following prompts:
- How have you been touched by adoption?
- Adoption is important because
- OR just record a short video of you and your loved ones saying “Happy National Adoption Month” – have fun with it!
Your video can be as short as 30 seconds or as long as 5 minutes long! Please note that by submitting a video, you give Adoption STAR the rights to edit or modify the video and use it on social media.
Update your Facebook picture to include one of our National Adoption Month frames! You can also record videos of yourself using the frames!
Click on the pictures to use the frame on your own Facebook camera!
For the ENTIRE month of November, Adoption STAR will have a Snapchat geofilter at the Amherst office! If you’re at the office, don’t forget to check it out!
Participate in our 30-day National Adoption Month Instagram Challenge – for anyone touched by adoption!
Everyday, the Adoption STAR Instagram account will publish a prompt. You’ll answer the prompt by posting on your own Instagram feed with hashtag #TouchedByAdoption and tag @adoptionstar.
