About the Organization

For those unfamiliar with the organization, The Lesbian and Gay Family Building Project/Pride and Joy Families was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to helping lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people from Upstate New York achieve their goals of building and sustaining healthy families.

They offer social support, educational programs and trainings, the Directory of LGBTQ-Inclusive Providers, and information and referral services. Their network of Pride and Joy Families provides social and educational opportunities and a sense of community for LGBTQ adults and their children.
