Adoptee, parent, and adoption professional Christina Romo writes about a perspective that she and her son share.
Christina Romo is a well-respected, savvy adoption professional. She blogs regularly for the Huffington Post, has adoption-related quotes all over the Internet, and her work has been “encouraged reading” from Adoption STAR’s perspective for quite some time.
Christina has her own blog, entitled Diary of a Not-So-Angry Asian Adoptee, and a recent blog post really struck a cord with us here at the agency. In a beautifully written post, Christina sums up some parenting challenges and describes how both her and her son have a shared experience (albeit for different reasons) – trying to find a place to belong.
You can read the blog post here, entitled, “Loving My Misunderstood Child.”
