Kathleen was one of the first social workers to join the Adoption STAR team. Kathy is now retired from the Buffalo Public Schools where she spent her career working as a school social worker.  Kathy works with prospective adoptive parents providing pre-adoptive work and follows up with families after they adopt through the post placement process. Kathy has also mentored graduate student interns who were placed at Adoption STAR.

Kathy enjoys working with Adoption STAR clients and says that working with adoptive parents and seeing them with their new children is heartwarming and makes her feel that she is involved in a very worthwhile endeavor.
