Yaraixy (goes by Roxy), is a home study contract worker in the State of Florida. Roxy’s role includes writing adoption home studies, post placement support, and being a resource. Roxy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Public Safety and Management at Miami Dade College. She is pursuing her Master’s Degree at NOVA with a major in Psychology and a minor in Substance Abuse, and is expected to complete this in the summer of 2022.

Roxy has been working under the supervision of the Department of Children and Families for several years. She is dual certified as a Child Welfare Case Manager and Licensing. Roxy’s professional experience includes working for multiple non-profit organizations, and work with foster parents. Roxy has assisted on numerous occasions with translation for Spanish speaking families. She has been recruited to travel outside of her county to resolve licensing concerns with families whose first language is Spanish.

Roxy is a caring and compassionate person, who stays committed to whatever task she is working on. Roxy considers herself to be patient, sympathetic and strong minded. She loves to put smiles on others’ faces, as it truly makes her day.
