Whether you’re an avid runner or just enjoy a casual stroll every now and then, we hope you’ll spend the first weekend of the fall with us at the Run in the Country 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Fun Run! The event is slated for Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village (BNHV), 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst, NY 14228. 9:00 am is when the 5K run chip timing begins. 10:00 am marks the start of the Kids’ Fun Run. The run is a part of the Fabulous 5K Race Series and the race course is USATF sanctioned and certified.
Entry fee for the event is $22.00 ($25.00 the day of the race). A $5.00 fee covers the Kids’ Fun Run. Runners over 80 years old can register for free. Checkers/Striders members get a $2.00 discount off the registration fee. Running apparel will be given to the first 200 prepaid registrants. Pre-race packets can be picked up at BNHV on Friday, September 25th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on race day between 7:45 am and 8:45 am.
There’s a post race celebration immediately following the race right on the grounds of BNHV. Music, a 50/50 raffle, food, and beverages for kids and adults will be available. Non-registrants can join the fun for just $5.00.
