Angela and Kris Argus give us a recap of the Rochester Group’s Annual Spring Fling and Egg Hunt. Thanks to Sue Reardon and Allison Tuff for the great pics!

This past weekend was the annual Rochester Adoption STAR Spring Fling & Egg Hunt, and everyone who attended had a great time! It is always great to see all the amazing families that Adoption STAR has helped to create. There were 20 families totals with 38 adults and 30 kids present. A big “Thank You” must be given to STAR Mom Melissa Luckey for organizing the event and to her church, the Webster Bible Church, for letting us use their gym.

With basketball, arts & crafts (thanks to Alison Tuff for being so creative!), face painting, and balloon creations & magic tricks from Chris “The Magic Guy”, there was no shortage of fun. There also was no shortage of food, as every family generously provided dishes to pass.

After brunch, the Moms and kids went off to wait down the hall as the Dads helped the Easter Bunny hide treat-filled eggs all over the gym. When the kids returned, baskets in hand, it was a mad dash for the goodies!

With the introduction of a new waiting family and two new STAR babies, events like the Spring Fling & Egg Hunt continue to be a great way for STAR families to keep in touch and for waiting families to receive support and join in the fun!

LAYLA!!!! Oh My Goodness, this is what I get for being away so long! The funny thing is, that I recently found an old email you sent me (back in January) in a spam box. I felt awfeul that I missed it, as you had asked me for some info and told me how you had visited NewDay’s website and sent an inquiry about a certain’ little girl. How timely that as I’m FINALLY getting back in the swing of things and catching up on ol’ favorite blogs, that I come to find out you and Kevin have begun your own journey! Praising God for you and praying for your process it is life changing and worth every penny and every agonizing minute of the wait! OH how I want to just pick up the phone and have you tell me more! Will be praying for you and Kevin through your process. If you have a moment, hit me with an email and let me know where you are in the process and how it’s all going! I’d love to chat! We just celebrated our 6 month adoption anniversary with Khloe last week! God is good!! <Now, I'm off to post my comment(s)!!! LOVE Six Seeds!! Such a blessing.BIG HUGS and CONGRATS!!!!~ Tanya Thom
