November is National Adoption Month and we are already planning a lot of great activities to celebrate adoption throughout the month.
You may be sitting there asking yourself, “How can I help educate my community about adoption?” Well we’re glad you asked, and we have a great answer…Bring Adoption STAR to work or to a group/committee with you!
Whether you would like us to speak for five or ten minutes during a meeting or lunch break or run an in-service on several adoption related topics, we would be glad to come to your place of employment and help educate your work community on adoption.

One way Adoption STAR will be celebrating National Adoption Month, is by hosting a very special event known as Shining STAR. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, November 2, from 5:30-8:30 pm at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Shining STAR is an evening of gourmet food stations, fine wines, extravagant gift baskets, and music to benefit Adoption STAR’s special needs adoption program. All proceeds from the Shining STAR event go towards helping the agency find forever adoptive families for children with special needs.
